Do you usually have your cell phone out and visible? Yes. Would you rate learning something new as a complex task or an easy task? Complex task. What happens to performance on complex tasks when a cell phone is visible? They suffered. I think you are right to think the red in the foreground is too bright. It should be desaturated before submitting. Otherwise pretty good depth of field and mystery here.
